Your Child's Day
- Use the children's interests to help learn:
- Math - number writing, recognition and counting, graphing, 1-1 correspondence, predictions, etc.
- Science - hands on activities
- Cooking - measuring, discussing ingredients
- Art - use of different mediums, open-ended activities
- Language - letter recognition, printing names, rhymes, stories, use of Spanish - words, numbers, fundamental conversation, finger plays, music and movement
- Use of the 2nd Step program to promote self-control and anger management
- Implementing the S.E.E.D.S - Early Literacy Program
- Encourage independence and help self skills
- Encourage large motor activities - play soccer, baseball, basketball, ride tricycles, practice on climbing equipment
